Solar theremin

Photographer’s caption: In case you’re wondering, a theremin is an electronic musical instrument (apparently the first ever created). This version uses a solar panel to generate the energy to drive it. You use your hand, or any other convenient object, to provide partial shade to the panel, which lowers the voltage and causes the pitch to drop. It seems to work pretty well, although it evidently requires fairly strong sunlight to actually get any noise out of it.
